3. What EthaMap is — and isn’t. EthaMap is a wellness and educational product. It is not medical advice, a medical device, or a diagnostic test. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, does not assess addiction or disease risk, and does not determine how much alcohol is safe for you. Always use good judgment and consult a qualified professional for health concerns. Nothing in your report is a recommendation to drink or to drink more.
4. Your kit and report. After purchase, you’ll receive a kit, register it, complete a short survey, and mail your sample to our CLIA-certified laboratory partner. Your report is generated from your genetic data using our rules-based analysis and is reviewed by our science and regulatory advisors. Reports are personalized and provided for your individual, non-commercial use.
5. Genetic data and consent. By using EthaMap, you consent to us collecting and processing your sample and genetic data solely to create and deliver your report, as described in our Privacy Policy. We never sell your genetic data or share it with employers or insurers. You may request deletion of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Orders and payment. Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change. We may refuse or cancel an order at our discretion (for example, suspected fraud). Payment is processed by our payment provider; we don’t store full card details.
7. Accuracy and results. Genetic insights reflect tendencies and probabilities based on current research, not certainties. Individual results vary, and no specific outcome is guaranteed. Where our data is inconclusive, we say so rather than guess.
8. Intellectual property. The EthaMap name, content, reports, and materials are owned by us and may not be copied, resold, or used commercially without permission.
9. Acceptable use. You agree not to misuse the site, submit someone else’s sample without their consent, or use EthaMap for any unlawful purpose.
10. Disclaimers. EthaMap is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
11. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EthaMap and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.
12. Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
